A fun and active program where students will take part in different sports such as whiffle ball, lacrosse, indoor soccer and other group games. Two weeks will be dedicated to each of these sports where participants will be introduced to the basics of each game in a friendly, non-competitive atmosphere.

The Show Must Go On with Stacy Vachon is an 11 week workshop where children K-5 will choose music and scenes from popular musicals, then rehearse and perform them in a show for their friends and families. The workshop will take place once per week at the Lowell School from the last week of March through May and there will be two sessions available to choose from. The first group will meet on Mondays from 2:35-4:00 while the second group will meet Tuesdays from 2:35-4:00. The cost for the program is $150 which includes the 11 sessions, dress rehearsal and all that is involved in putting on the show. Costume accessories will be discussed with and either created by the children on Mondays and Tuesdays during our workshops or could be simple items or accessories from home. During our sessions we will learn what it is like to be on stage in front of an audience and we will choose music from shows that the children think will be fun to perform. Participants will learn marching, basic twirling skills and dance moves. Focus is on hand-eye coordination, rhythm, and teamwork. Spring session participants will learn a routine for the parade. Instruction is provided by Miss Tracey Gangi Johnson. We will once again offer three sessions as follows: Fall: September 25 to December 4, 2012 (no classes 10/9 and 11/6) Winter: December 18 to March 12, 2013 (no classes 12/25, 1/1, 1/22, 2/19, 3/5) Spring: March 19 to May 21, 2013 (no class 4/16) Performance in the Memorial Day Parade May 27, 2013

The Watertown Senior Shuttle travels a fixed route throughout Watertown to take seniors grocery shopping, and we continually adjust the route to accommodate new riders. The bus goes to the Stop & Shop on Watertown St. on Tuesdays. Take the bus, and leave the driving (and parking) to us!

The group meets weekly for support, and to socialize. Individuals weigh in (not mandatory) exercise to a tape, and participate in a talk about nutrition led by long-time volunteer, Evelyn Casey.
