On the Watertown Seal is a picture of an English Colonist and an Indian exchanging, as peace tokens,  bread for fish.  Captain Roger Clap landed at Nantasket Point in 1630 and rode up Charles River to Gerry's Landing with the first party of Watertown Colonists.

The risk of people age 45 and older developing type 2 diabetes is significant, but it is a condition that is manageable if diagnosed soon enough. Healthy refreshments provided.

    THE SHINE PROGRAM (Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders) is a free service funded by the Massachusetts Executive Office of Elder Affairs to help answer your health insurance, and prescription medication coverage questions. SHINE volunteers are trained and certified to provide seniors with free confidential counseling by appointment. Our SHINE volunteer is at the Senior Center once a week on Wednesdays.
