One-on-one instruction can help motivate students who are having some difficulties progressing on their instrument and provide challenge to more advanced student musicians. Students who currently play an instrument during the school day are strongly encouraged to enroll in private instrumental music lessons either through this program or elsewhere.     The first week of this program will consist of clinics and drills, and then the teams will be selected. The teams will be made up of two boys and two girls from different grades. We will schedule games each week for each team. The focus of the program is to provide a fun, positive atmosphere while teaching the sport of basketball and the excitement of being a part of a team.

    Anyone, regardless of age or physical ability, can practice Tai Chi. Older adults find it especially appealing because the movements are low impact and put minimal stress on muscles and joints. Although Tai Chi’s best documented health effect is its ability to improve balance, it can also reduce stress, increase flexibility, improve strength and increase energy.
