  1. Pre-Kindergarten Indoor Sports Ages:3-5

    January 28, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM @ Watertown Boys & Girls Club

    This program will work on the fundamentals of Soccer, T-Ball and other games. The children will work on skills needed to play these games as well as learn about teamwork and sportsmanship in a fun, safe setting.

  2. Middle School Indoor Field Hockey Grades 6-8

    January 28, 2:30 PM - 5:00 PM @ WMS Small Gym

    This program will consist of drills, scrimmage and games. Consistent teams will be selected for a tournament league format. After the teams are made, a schedule of games will be played beginning the following week. The focus of the program is to provide a fun, positive atmosphere while teaching the sport of field hockey and the excitement of being a part of a team. Registration is on first come first serve basis

  3. Musical Instrument Lessons (Private) Grades K-12

    January 28, 2:30 PM - 7:00 PM @ Watertown Middle School

    Students work with instructors who are also professional musicians in the Greater Boston area, perform regularly on their instruments, and have many years of experience teaching children of all ages. This is a tuition based program and is highly recommended for students participating in school instrumental ensembles. Private lessons allow the instructor to focus on the individual needs of each student enabling the student to progress faster and perform in their school ensembles with a high degree of ability, confidence, and enjoyment. One-on-one instruction can help motivate students who are having some difficulties progressing on their instrument and provide challenge to more advanced student musicians. Students who currently play an instrument during the school day are strongly encouraged to enroll in private instrumental music lessons either through this program or elsewhere. Parents, working with the instructor, determine the length of lessons that best suits the musical needs of

The main focus of the program will be to teach and promote good sportsmanship and teamwork to maximize every individual’s skill development in a fun atmosphere.

  17. Wachusett Mountain Ski-Board Program Grades: 6-12

    January 31, 4:00 PM - 11:00 PM @ Leaves WHS parking lot to go to Wachusett Mountain

    The program is designed to provide middle and high school students with a fun and safe atmosphere to learn elements of skiing or boarding or too improve their skills. All participants must wear helmets while skiing or boarding. Space is limited on the bus provided by the recreation department. Please register early. All participants’ parents will register online with Wachusett Mountain. Please register for the transportation with Watertown Recreation.     Ice skating is inheritly a dangerous spot and helmets are recommendedt but not required. Skating is at your own risk. Milk Creates ae allowed on the Ice but must be povided by patons and removed from the Building at te end of the event.
