On the Watertown Seal is a picture of an English Colonist and an Indian exchanging, as peace tokens,  bread for fish.  Captain Roger Clap landed at Nantasket Point in 1630 and rode up Charles River to Gerry's Landing with the first party of Watertown Colonists.

  4. THE SHINE PROGRAM (Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders)

    THE SHINE PROGRAM (Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders) is a free service funded by the Massachusetts Executive Office of Elder Affairs to help answer your health insurance, and prescription medication coverage questions. SHINE volunteers are trained and certified to provide seniors with free confidential counseling by appointment. Our SHINE volunteer is at the Senior Center once a week on Wednesdays. Call 617-972-6490 to schedule an appointment.

    STROKE Learn the signs of stroke. It might save your life! Sadly too many people don't recognize the signs of a stroke and how to get emergency care FAST. Mount Auburn Hospital's Stroke Nurse Coordinator, Marie McCune and Community Health Nurse, Mary Hunt Johnson, will share the information you need to recognize a stroke and act F.A.S.T.
