On the Watertown Seal is a picture of an English Colonist and an Indian exchanging, as peace tokens,  bread for fish.  Captain Roger Clap landed at Nantasket Point in 1630 and rode up Charles River to Gerry's Landing with the first party of Watertown Colonists.

Angie had long been a community activist in the East End, with the East Watertown Betterment Assoc.; you may remember the group. she will offer her thoughts, and listen to yours, about past, present, and future development and how it related to our quality of community.     THE SHINE PROGRAM (Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders) is a free service funded by the Massachusetts Executive Office of Elder Affairs to help answer your health insurance, and prescription medication coverage questions. SHINE volunteers are trained and certified to provide seniors with free confidential counseling by appointment. Our SHINE volunteer is at the Senior Center once a week on Wednesdays. Exercises include muscle strengthening, light-stretching, balance and posture improvement, and low-impact aerobics; all done to your favorite tunes! Regular exercise can improve circulation, help to strengthen bones, Increase muscle mass, reduce joint stiffness, and improve general health. Whether it's to get stronger, loosen up, or just get moving, give it a try!
