On the Watertown Seal is a picture of an English Colonist and an Indian exchanging, as peace tokens,  bread for fish.  Captain Roger Clap landed at Nantasket Point in 1630 and rode up Charles River to Gerry's Landing with the first party of Watertown Colonists.

Amenities
The spacious grounds, boasting a beautiful, large, rectangular grape arbor and Victorian veranda, are a prime spot for outdoor weddings and garden parties. The faithfully restored Mansion accommodates up to 150 people (reception style or cocktail), is fully handicap accessible, and has central heating and air.
