On the Watertown Seal is a picture of an English Colonist and an Indian exchanging, as peace tokens,  bread for fish.  Captain Roger Clap landed at Nantasket Point in 1630 and rode up Charles River to Gerry's Landing with the first party of Watertown Colonists.

How to Access Emergency Alert Information
Simply click on the “Emergency Alert” icon to the left and read about the Emergency and/or Road Closure situation.

What do the Colors Mean?
The following is an example.
Active Emergency Alert If the Emergency Alert button flashes red, there is a current emergency and information regarding it can be viewed by selecting the flashing button.
Inactive Emergency Alert If the Emergency Alert button is green, there are no current emergencies.

Ongoing Support
To receive real-time updates during an emergency, you can sign up to receive email updates at the Notify Me section of our website, by checking the box next to the "Emergency Alerts" header.
