On the Watertown Seal is a picture of an English Colonist and an Indian exchanging, as peace tokens,  bread for fish.  Captain Roger Clap landed at Nantasket Point in 1630 and rode up Charles River to Gerry's Landing with the first party of Watertown Colonists.

The Memorial Day Parade is Monday, May 29th, starting at 12:00 noon.

The parade will start forming at 11:00 a.m. at the corner of Arlington and Grove Streets.

At noon, it will proceed down Mt. Auburn Street to Main Street ending at Saltonstall Park for a brief service.
