On the Watertown Seal is a picture of an English Colonist and an Indian exchanging, as peace tokens,  bread for fish.  Captain Roger Clap landed at Nantasket Point in 1630 and rode up Charles River to Gerry's Landing with the first party of Watertown Colonists.

Fall Tree Planting Season has been completed

A thank you letter to each resident who received a new town tree during fall tree planting season was mailed on December 6, 2016.  Each letter contains specific directions on how to care for your new tree in the first year of life as well as directions on how to make a donation to the Tree Fund to ensure continued success of this program.  If you have further questions, you may contact the Conservation Office for more information.

Information on the Spring Tree Planting Season will be posted to this site as information becomes available around late winter or early spring of 2017.

Tree Hearing Updates

Notice of the next Tree Hearing will be posted to the space when the list becomes available.

Any written submissions regarding any item(s) on a Tree Hearing List are due in the Conservation Office no later than 10:30 am on the day of the hearing, or one hour prior to the actual hearing itself.
