How Park Project
The City of Watertown is working with a designer to develop a Master Plan for How Park. Currently, the City has funding for Phase 1 of construction, which will be the renovation of the playground area. So far, we have held two meetings to seek input from the public and made an online survey available to collect feedback. A third meeting will be scheduled in early 2024 to reveal a preferred Master Plan concept - stay tuned for more information!

Summary of Meeting #1
During the first community meeting held at How Park on August 29, 2023, residents were presented with image boards that showed potential elements to include in the park and had the opportunity to speak with the design team and the City to ask questions and share their own ideas on future improvements. Below are the boards that community members used for sticker voting to express their preferences. The feedback we received from residents during the first community meeting helped guide the design of the three master plan design concepts.
Summary of Meeting #2 and Public Survey:
On November 14, 2023, City staff and the design team hosted a tabling session at City Hall to review and receive feedback from the community on the three master plan concepts (linked below). An online survey was also open to the public during this time. With 59 respondents participating in the survey, valuable input was gathered from the community. Comments received from participating community members at the tabling session and the public survey will inform the preferred proposed design and Phase 1 construction at the park (playground area only).
